i love the faded branches in the back. the mist or fog is great. moody.

for being day 575, you show no signs of slowing down. really impressive job. how do you feel about your photos after 575 days?

Ha, I had a feeling somebody would think it was foggy. It was actually blue skies a little bit before sunset. The way I did the black and white conversion made it look foggy. The depth of field of the picture helps too; the faded branches in the back.

How do I feel about my photos? I feel like I've improved a little bit maybe, but a lot of my photos are very mediocre. They're bland and boring. They're not really what I want to shoot. A lot of the time they're photos of random objects just so I have something for the day.

There are days, like today(sunday) where I don't know what to take a photo of or have no inspiration. So I wander around the house until I find something that will work.

Then there are other days when I have a good feeling for photos and I see lots of interesting subjects and interesting light. I'm not sure if I get the exact photo I want on these days. But I'm usually a lot happier with the results.

I could push myself a lot more, but it's tough.

I really like your photos, Kris.

You should do a side project, where you take a number of photos that all follow the same theme or are all in the same location (city, park, neighborhood, etc) and put them together!

Thanks Brian.

I agree, I need to get into some kind of photo side project. Something that might be a little more interesting for me other than documenting my boring life.

I tend to think I need a better camera if I were to do a larger project. But that's not a very good reason to not do it. I want to do projects involving people and people might not take it seriously if I have a point and shoot camera. I'm probably just making excuses.

Time to brainstorm.
