Day 416 - Vampire Cat

Reminds me of a vampire. If she had giant fangs it would be perfect.

Day 406 - Red Found Her Way Home

One last picture of this sweet little girl. Late last night I had a reply to my craigslist posting about her. I was sent pictures of the persons lost chihuahua and was pretty sure it was same dog. It just so happens that she was in foster care with Underdog Rescue and Placement. She was a puppy mill dog. Poor thing. :(

She had escaped from her foster's yard. Like she did from our yard the first day we saw her. She's a sneaky little dog.

But today her Foster mom Shannon, the founder of Underdog Rescue, came and picked her up. I hope Red, lives a long and happy life with whatever lucky family adopts her. She is such a sweet, funny and cute little thing. I miss her already.

Day 404 - Look What I Caught Today

During all the rain today I saw this little girl in the lot behind our house. Went over there and was able to corner her a little bit and pick her up. She didn't fight it once I grabbed her. But she is a very frightened little thing.

Day 403 - The Stray Chihuahua

So this morning we let Sam outside and out there in the backyard was this Chihuahua. Never seen it before. Sam was so excited and all she wanted to do was play. But the Chihuahua was frightened and not sure what to do. We got Sam inside the house and then tried to capture the Chihuahua. I only got close once to catching her/him, but in the end we had to call the police/animal control for the city. It was too frightened and we weren't going to be able to catch it and Sam was stressing out.

The cop got there and said they would keep it for 5 days and then put it to sleep if it wasn't recovered by it's owner. We didn't want to do that. So he said it was fine if we kept it in our backyard for now and tried to find the owner ourselves. The cop went one block over to ask the families over there if they knew who's dog it was, but they only knew one house on that block with Chihuahua's. They were not missing one.

So by the time the cop came back the dog had squeezed through the fence post and escaped and was gone. Nothing we could really do.

Then at about 5:30 t0night, it returned! It was sitting in the gardens in the front yard. Ran off again. Then it was spotted sleeping in the weeds in the lot behind our house a little bit later, ran off. Then it was spotted again running down the street behind our house and going back into the lot. We put out a bunch of food and water. So hopefully we will be able to catch this little guy and give him a nice home.

Day 402 - Desaturated Backlit Fence

Nothing too exciting today. Went to take a certain picture and I ended up not liking it. So this is what I'm going to use for today instead.

Lots of editing for no reason other than I wanted to see what it would look like.
Here is the before picture.

Day 399

I'm not sure why, but whenever i upload this picture to blogspot it decreases the quality. It looks much better on my computer. It's adding crazy artifacts around the edges of the flower.
UGH, this is annoying me.
I uploaded i to photobucket and it looks normal. Seems like blogspot is compressing it.

No pets today, I didn't go with to see them today. Sorry.
I was planning on doing a picture of the birds if I could figure something out that looked decent.

This is what it' supposed to look like. Maybe only I can tell the difference? It still bothers me.

Day 398

Dill Plant! as I like to call her. This is the only sort of in focus photo I could get in the 10-15 minutes I was there with her. She moves around a lot. Much more than Sherlock does.

Day 397

I met Shirley(Sherlock) or would that be Sherley? He's one goofy cat. Never meowed, loves people, runs really fast by your feet, attacked my camera strap/string, attacked my leg and foot, hops down the stairs full speed like a bunny and sits at the door like a dog and didn't attempt to get out once. Can I keep him?

Here is another picture of him.

Day 396

Ditched in some bushes.

In a totally unrelated story, I saw a lady get completely pulled off her feet by her St. Bernard looking dog. I was far away when it happened. But I can't believe how hard her dog pulled her. All because it wanted to go chase a rabbit.

This one is cropped a little bit so it's not as tall as most of the photos on here.

Day 391

Terrible accident at the sWo softball game tonight. Jacob and Fish collided going for the ball. Jacob's shin was broke in two. From what Pat said, it was just dangling there afterwards. Just thinking about it makes me sick. The sound was terrible when they collided. It was incredibly loud and they were nowhere near us. I hope Jacob is doing okay and recovers fully as soon as possible. Take care man.

Thankfully Fish ended up being okay, even though it looked like he was going to be seriously hurt as well. From our view it looked as though Fish was hit in the face.

Here is another picture.

No theme this week. Instead you get a picture of me because I couldn't think of anything else.

After posting this, it looks like another photo I took of myself earlier.

Day 387

Not sure if there will be a theme this week. I'll see if I can come up with something to go along with this tomorrow.
