Day 380

I found a neat little program last week called Poladroid. You open up the Poladroid program and take a photo of yours and drag in onto the Poladroid camera. Then you get to watch it slowly develop into a Polaroid-like photo.

So this going to be my theme for the week. No set subject, but a style using the program.

Day 379

I blew a tire.

I went skating today and this is what happened to my back wheel on my left skate. I had to skate roughly a third of the total distance like this.

Day 374

I was walking down the path when I looked up and thought I saw a big great dane. Took this picture as quickly as I could. A biker went around me and didn't see the deer, nearly ran into it before he saw it. Then the deer ran off to the right into the woods. I walked to where it went in to the woods and out came a guy with his golden retriever. They didn't seem to have seen it.

From there I went up on top of the railroad tracks and waited for a minute or two and here comes the deer up on the tracks and going the opposite direction from me. It stopped a few times and then went into the woods on the opposite side from where it came.

I went down that side of the tracks. Went down a trail and stopped and waited for about 5-8 minutes. Then she came out and stopped and looked right at me for a minute or two. She turned and trotted off with her flag up and back home we went.

Here is the other picture I was thinking about using. I like the first picture more, even if the quality isn't so great. I like that it's not a wooded scene and you can see Minneapolis in the background.

Then here is a little bit from my dream last night.

Last night I dreamt that I was deer hunting( coincidence? ) in a large field full of bright autumn colors. It almost reminded me of something you might see in the Wizard of Oz. The field was lined with large trees with autumn leaves. They looked like a wall along the edge of the field.

I was in a smaller tree just inside the field. Waiting there for a deer to come along. Suddenly my guns stock fell to the ground and turned to the size of something you might find on a keychain. I remember specifically thinking that it was part of a keychain.

I got out of the tree and was trying to find the gun stock in the leaves and grass below it. I was having a hard time finding it when an elderly lady came walking down a black path in the middle of the field. She stopped and pointed out to me where the stock was located.

After finding the stock we walked down the black path into what I can only describe as some sort of hospital on the edge of the field. That's the last I remember from the dream.

This might be my longest post ever.

Bye.

Day 372

Is the large white spot in the right corner distracting?

In other news, I had a dream last night that I was camping in Hopkins, in a large cabin. With 23 or so people. I could cloak myself and go invisible like a spy in Team Fortress 2. While I was cloaked Ben Stiller fell face first in front of me and went to sleep.

Day 371

It drizzled for about 3 minutes when I was rollerblading with Sam and it reminded me of how much I like the smell of rain. It was also so nice out today, Fall weather.

Day 366

I lied. I'm not going to stop doing picture of the day. Thanks to the campers for convincing me to keep going!

If anyone has a theme idea, please let me know. I might need some theme ideas for future weeks.

Day 365

One last picture of Sam for picture of the day. One year has gone by and I'm done for now. I am thinking I will start another one of these sometime in the future. Possibly this fall or maybe wait until the first of 2010 and do another year long one. I would love to try doing a portrait a day like Bill Wadman, http://www.365portraits.com/. Check out the pictures, they're great. Mine would have to be on a much smaller scale though.
But right now I need a break.

Honestly I never thought I would make it one month when I started. But I kept on going, bad pictures and good pictures. Looking back at the pictures I wish I would have done a little bit more. Pushed myself a bit instead of just trying to find one picture that was decent enough to post. Get out to more places and take more interesting pictures. Rather than hope I find something interesting during my daily life.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun with it and enjoyed it. I think learned a lot during the whole process. I'm not sure how much I've improved, if I've improved at all. It's hard for me to tell.

When you're doing a project like this, it sure opens your eyes to a lot of new things around you. Things you would have missed. I know it's cliche(it's probably even cliche to say something is cliche), but you never really look at things around you and you miss a lot living your regular daily life.

The End.
For Now.
