You were close on one Kels. The color in the upper left of the photo is actually from a flashlight that is just out of the frame. I used it in daylight to add more color to the light.
The other part is in the upper right had side I removed a stem from another leaf afterward in Gimp. I don't usually do that, but I wanted to try it this time and see if anyone could tell.
Thanks for checking them out Matt. The distortion is from using a wider angle on the lens. My little point and shoot has a ton of distortion in lines. Especially toward the edge of photos.
