i am also a big fan of this one. awesome composition. i really do find this to be a powerful image, of lonliness and individuality. the bird has such skinny legs and it surrounded by water, and concrete.
Thank you! I was trying to get a picture of the bird with it's neck fully extended, it was actually pretty long. But I think Sam was making it a bit nervous and finally scared him away. I do like how it turned out.
I really love the way the bird looks in this photo. The contrast in color is great.

Looks like a giant bird walking along the surface of a tiny moon. Its beautiful, and kind of sad.
